Don’t you love it when you hear a song that reminds you of another song, which in turn reminds you of the good ol’ days? Maybe not, but it sure happened to me the first time I heard “Let It Go.” The opening totally reminded me of an old NOFX song, which of course took me back to the glory days of punk (or at least, my glory days).
This is interesting, because it’s around that same time that these old punk rockers brought Nurse Sherri back on the scene. Nurse Sherri’s roots can be traced back to the early ’80s, when real punk rock was alive and well. These influences make their way into Nurse
Sherri’s music, but it has evolved past plain old punk rock to a harder, funkier post-punk. Just give a listen and see for yourself. —Dick Rivers
